Lukas Savickas
Lukas Savickas has served as the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania since July 2026. He previously served as the Minister of Economy and Innovation and is currently also a Member of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and a member of the Seimas Committee on Environment Protection.
Before becoming a Member of the Seimas, L. Savickas held senior positions at the Office of the Government of the Republic of Lithuania. He served as the First Deputy Chancellor of the Government, where he coordinated the implementation of strategic EU policies, led budget negotiations and contributed to the preparation of the State Progress Strategy.
L. Savickas is also Deputy Chairman of the Union of Democrats “For Lithuania” and a member of its Board and Council.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of York (United Kingdom) and a Master’s degree in European Public Affairs from Maastricht University (the Netherlands).
