Roland Harwood works at the intersection of smart cities, responsible AI, and climate innovation. He is Community and Partnerships Lead at Milestone Systems (part of the Canon Group), where he is building a global network of developers and cities advancing computer vision through Project Hafnia.

He is also co-founder of the Climate Tech Supercluster, which convenes the Net Zero Living community of practice, working with 59 towns and cities.

Roland holds a PhD in Physics and is a visiting lecturer at several universities, a Trustee of the Participatory Cities Foundation, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
